its funny how some dummies walk around talkin bout their golden days
i battle my inner demons, one the mic is where i show my rage

you see about three years ago i bought my first mic and mic stand
i did it all on my own homie, i didnt need a fuckin hype man
i use to be about text battles, text ciphers, text crews and all that
until one day i finally wanted people to hear my raw raps
so i started writin to beats, i was droppin tracks like every week
got some positive feedback, i found out i was actually nice with the speech
so i met mister J and he said he could hook me up with beats and production
just as long as all my songs werent about killin and cussin
so i busted a couple of tracks out, he put me on his CD
had a few thousand downloads now i know everybody can hear me
i had mad people hittin me up like "Noble you want to hop on this track"
and i never turned anybody down or charged them because i got it like that
i just wanted some respect from these vets and bet that i deserved it
everybody was yellin, tellin me how i was sick with the verses
met a dude from chi town on line and he told me i was dope
so we did some tracks and kicked some raps and he invited me to do a show
i flew out there and rocked the crowd, your damn right i was proud
so fast forward to today this rap shit is what im about
i been in a few crews also slaughtered a few along the way
and all this is what made me so strong today
even though life is getting out of hand right now i wont put the mic down
im still workin on my solo mixtape and got a few other in the works
still elevating my skill, i know i can get better at it
but still thats better then some cuz some never had it
so how dare you say you contribute more to the movement
if you aint never voiced your opinion on the mic then you aint proved shit
hiphop isnt about always typin ya shit and cryin on line like a bitch
its about true spit, my heart and soul is where hiphop lives
so dont ever try to tell me again i dont know about this hiphop shit
