I used to do this way back, it's been a minute. Went away for a while and didn't have a computer, but I've been searching online every couple years from some of the guys from my forum back in the day... it's been 7 or so years now. Hopin to get back into this. I don't know how to do audio but I'm tryna figure it out.

Yo wassup everyone. Im new, wanted to join up with a site like this, checked it out before I joined and yall seem like a legit rap forum to stay with. I been gettin into rap around 2009 when I went to college, and started to really get into it (listening) from "The Warmup" by J.Cole. It revived my interest in getting into rapping, and my first favorite albums were The Eminem Show and The Black Album. Ima start gettin more writtens on this site, look forward to finally getting into rap.

I wrote this one last week, still tryna practice though. I was listening to Kendrick Lamar "Opposites Attract", and the first line is based on that so I remembered.

We hurt people that love us and love people that hurt us
It would seem to follow your dreams, You gotta lift up them curtains
Shed some light on the darkness in your life, you
Pretend that you're righteous, so everyone likes you
Get a little money and change up your sights
Get nervous soon as it starts getting tight
Gotta stay on track, cuz when stuff gets wack
then you might go back to that broke ass life.
Then its back to no love, usin drugs
You have enough, so you grab a gun
You play stupid just to raise your funds
Feeling useless, hated, and dumb.
Wishing that reality was all a bad dream
You would sell your soul just to never be broke again.

Been writing poetry since I was a kid, and about a year ago I also started writing rhymes. Haven't had the chance to record anything worth recording yet, but I'm trying to shake something up.

Guess I'll better rephrase,
Nighmares clad in patterns so insane they'll have you throwin' spasms
Just trying to grasp onto what little sanity is left in a wicked world so sickly dressed in sickly stress,
Repressed victims regress to whatever's left of their hollowed-out dreams,
Depressed you'll kneel to a bittersweet entity of an evil intent laid to rest deeply within, no more repenting - sin's now pouring free.
