If u ain't as rich and pro as kurse and done have a mic cover, put a sock over your mic. I suggest you use audacity and beats can be found on limewire . Oh and always have emotion in your voice and spit loud so u can be heard. lol.

No...don't yell into ur mic. That's where sound distortion comes from and makes the speakers "blare" when you play it back. First off...if ur using a computer mic to rap, thats ur first mistake. But if you have a decent stage, vocal or performance mic (you can find them as cheap as $25), make sure u spend the extra $15 for a pop filter. (I've said it before...this'll improve ur clarity by 120%) Christmas is almost here...ask for one as an early gift. They can be found in any music goods retailer.

Yes...you can use a sock or a bandana, but it is ghetto and doesn't work quite as well.

Audacity blows cock. If you can...find urself ProTools. Even if it's an old version. If not...Cool Edit and Cubase will work in the meantime.

To hell with limewire now or days. Thats only good if you wanna use already popularized industry beats. Fuck that. Soundclick is where it's at. Same thing with Shadowville...there beats are nice (some of 'em)...but then ur limited to ONLY there beats on that site. Go to soundclick.com and you'll found 1000's of producers allowing downloads to their free beats. From Shadowville, Sinima & Rapitfly beats to Mr KA, Kooman, Dub's Attic & Epik Beats.
