I’ve got to admit that Still Dre beat still sounds ill. Come on Dre, give us that Detox album, before 2012.

Drake – Young Jeezy – Lose My Mind (Remix) @ Bet Awards

Drake ends the show with performances of a couple of his singles, Fireworks and Over. As a bonus, they bring out Young Jeezy to do a remix to Lose My Mind.

Not that bad of a line up, by far the hottest emcees in the game at the Bet Awards last night, with Eminem, Drake, Jeezy, Kanye West and B.o.B. At the end of the year, they might own all the spots for top selling albums too. The only person that I’m surprised wasn’t on stage is Luda.

T.I. performs his single off his upcoming album King Uncaged that should be coming out in the next couple months. Not many hip hop artists are capable are performing with the intensity that T.I. brought to the 2010 Bet Awards. I think this was his first award show since being released from prison a few weeks ago.

Don’t worry, he hasn’t lost it at all.

B.o.B reunites with Eminem on stage at the 2010 Bet Awards to perform Airplanes pt.2. Then without hesitation, Em cuts into Not Afraid for an electrifying performance of his single.

Both artists have well received albums out right now, The Adventures of Bobby Ray has been sitting near the top of the billboard for a couple weeks and Em’s Recovery is about to blow past it.

Kanye West – Power @ The Bet Awards

Kanye West makes his much anticipated return to perform his upcoming single off What Big Sean Says. He has basically disappeared since the incident with Taylor Swift where he tore the microphone out of her hand while she was receiving an award for the best music video.

A great reaction for the guy, you can only hope that he straightens himself out, and goes onto be an icon in hip hop because the guy does put in work. Not everyone liked LL Cool J, but at the end of the day, you have to respect the body of work.

Apparently the aforementioned album will be coming on September 22nd. That gives Kanye a couple more award shows to mess up at.

Eminem and The Roots Perform Won’t Back Down

Eminem teamed up with the legendary hip hop group The Roots for a one off deal on Jimmy Fallon’s show to help promote Recovery. We will have reports on how many copies were sold for the first week in the coming days.

In related news, last week The Roots dropped their first single for their upcoming album How I Got Over, it will be their 11th release, so Em still has some work to do to catch up with them.

Behind the Music has done shows on some of the greatest artists in hip hop including Jay Z, Nas, and Eminem. This time, they do a short documentary on hip hop’s most controversial superstar, that went from having the game in his palm to being in jail for extended period of times, a multiple time felon, and a minister. The documentary covers Earl Simmons the man, trying to get his life back together through spiritual means while still battling them old demons that have held him from his full potential all of his life.

If possible, we will have the whole show up tomorrow. It airs tonight before the VH1 Hip Hop Honors that all started tonight at 8 eastern.

Jay Z performs what may be his most lyrical song after Reasonable Doubt, the Dynasty intro, which starts the album of the same name. Jay rarely performs this track for some reason. On another note, have you ever seen a guy tour as much as Jay. After the Dynasty intro, he goes right into Run this Town off of Blueprint 3.

Dr. Dre Confirms 2010 Detox – Single

Dr. Dre confirms that Detox will be released this year, that he is just finishing up the project, and that the Under Pressure single with Jay Z will be dropping in the next two weeks. Word around the blogs this afternoon is that the single will come out on Friday. Illest Lyrics, of course, will have that track up as soon as it becomes available.
