		<description>this is an interesting stretch of years that the mixtape focuses on: &#039;94-&#039;01..... eight years. when we talk about the golden age of Hip Hop, the consensus is that it lasted from &#039;88 to about &#039;97.  so that puts the end of the golden age as the midway point of this mixtape&#039;s eight year focus.  that&#039;s significant in NYC Hip Hip because while rap was going pop, artists still wanted to preserve the underground scene.  the joints we find here that came out after &#039;97 (such as &quot;Banned from TV&quot;) represent that.</description>
