The song addresses his drug addiction.
Eminem is having a relapse and he’s going to be on Shade 45’s The Morning After with Angela Yee to talk about it and play his new single “3 AM”.

Listening to the song by itself is probably taken it out of context. It will be interesting to see how it plays into the album.
totally has nothing to do with proof, i think people were looking for something serious like “the way i am” and “stan” something that was dark but sent out a message. That combined with the idea of it being a tribute to proof gave everyone false expectations. If you take the song for it is, a lyrical song which he has incorporated some more violence. To me it seems like “slim shady lp” subjects with a “encore” flow and sound. All in all, if you give it a few listens and disregard the proof and “dark” side elements, the songs bangs. I am glad to have some new Em music, and I if this is one of the “not so good” songs on the CD it will be a classic album.
i hope not, the song is lyrical but his voice sounds weird in some parts. Wasn’t this supposed to be a proof tribute? I dont know what the video could look like that he said he already shot
