Pitchfork reports Atmosphere will release Family Sign on April 12, marking the Minneapolis collective’s first proper album since 2008’s When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. The group released the dual EP To All My Friends, Blood Makes the Blade Holy last year. Family Sign will reportedly feature keyboardist Erick Anderson and guitarist Nate Collis in addition to the usual contributions from Slug and Ant.

Atmosphere is gearing up for what is being described as “a first of its kind, five day tour” through Minnesota. DJ Abilities, Prof, Los Nativos and Mr. Gene Poole will join them for select dates. The tour starts February 22nd in Mankato and makes subsequent stops in Bemidji, St. Cloud, Rochester & Duluth. For more information, visit the Atmosphere page at the official Rhymesayers website.
