Atlanta native and representative, B.o.B., has finally announced he is working on the follow-up to his debut album B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The rapper, who kicked off a summer tour with R&B singer Rhianna on Tuesday (June 6th), is also in the studio working on material for his sophomore album.

“I’m really excited about this one,” B.o.B. told Detroit Metro’s MLive.com. “You’re always excited about every project. But I really feel like I’m in my groove with this one. I’m more aware of myself as an instrument, as a sound. It’s more intentful.”

According to be B.o.B., he carefully crafts each album, in anticipation of performing the songs live.

“I make music just to perform it,” B.o.B. said of his last album, which spawned hit singles like “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore, “Magic,” and “Nothing on You” featuring Bruno Mars. “A lot of the thought process (of working on an album) goes into actually performing it,” B.o.B. said.

A release date for this untitled sophomore project has not been given at this time, but illestlyrics will update you as the progress continues.
