
With 50 Cent’s latest mixtape taking shots at former cohort The Game, the ongoing rivalry between the two rappers seems to have no immediate end in sight. Now the Compton rapper has returned the favor by jacking Young Hot Rod’s first single for his own mixtape.G-Unit rookie Young Hot Rod – who signed to 50 Cent’s label eight months ago – is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album, and his first single “Be Easy” features R&B songstress Mary J. Blige on the chorus.But imagine the Phoenix rapper’s surprise when the Game snatched his track, both the instrumental and hook, and used it to call out 50 Cent once again on his own mixtape, “The Game Presents The Black Wall Street.” “You know, we was going through beats and everything, [and] Game wanted to hop on it and say some things,” said DJ Skee, who helped put together the street mixtape.“He addressed the [50 Cent] mixtape cover and everything, but he didn’t do the [whole rhyme] about them. Now he’s pretty much over that shit. We’re really trying to focus on the music and get his album out the way.”Since the Game’s mixtape is an unofficial release, it is uncertain what legal actions can or will be taken by 50’s camp.The Game’s sophomore album, The Doctor's Advocate, hits stores on November 7. Meanwhile Young Hot Rod’s LP, Fast Lance, currently has no release date.
