Yes, but you listen to other shit too. Like real hip-hop and you actually agree that these two cats aren't talented. There are people that believe that Akon and Lil Wayne are the greatest at what they do. Yes, they're allowed to believe that, but I'm also allowed to disagree with it too. I'm just saying that there are cats out there that are much more talented but kids these days just listen to anything with a catchy hook and a nice beat. Its all just crap in my eyes. You have the same producers making the beats, throw some Joe Shmoe over it and play the shit every 15 minutes on the radio. Music just isn't the same anymore. Its all electronic. Dudes even alter their voices electronically because they can't sing for shit. And people buy it anyways. That's on them. I just wish it wasn't like that. Its all about the club bangers now. Where did the creativity, raw talent and craftsmanhip go? There's no heart and soul in pop music now. Its all money, thats it. All these cats dream about making it big and seeing them fat paychecks, not performing in front of thousands of people, knowing if you stopped singing, you could hear all of em singing your songs. They don't make music that you sit and relate to so much that you cry, smile, feel a sense of relief. They make music that rattles your trunk and gets bitches on the dance floor. Whatever makes these mindless drones happy, I guess. I just can't listen to an Akon album like I could a Marvin, Michael, or even a Boyz II Men album. Them motherfuckers can sing and they don't need a Scott Storch or Timbaland or whoever the fuck's beat to sound good. Listen to an Akon accappella. And Lil Wayne... I can't listen to his shit the same way I listen to a Nas, Brother Ali, or even a Twista or Tech N9ne album. Those motherfuckers can rap. Whatever though, I'm beating a dead horse and people are gonna do what they want. I just hope all these kids are pirating that shit. That's just my opinion.

i say akon... and for Ruckus... u need to check out T-Pain's album Three Ringz i think its track 13 but its a song he wrote for his kids... he shows off his singing abilities without the use of the auto tune... he actually has a very decent voice... now akon hes gotta good voice but t-pains is much stronger than akons... lil wayne makes me wanna choke myself i can't stand his nasally ass... i mean t-pain isn't a Tyrese but he CAN sing... might wanna check it out man...

Eh, I appreciate it but I shouldn't have to open my mind and dig for a track to look for an "artist's" talent. I know Tyrese can sing, everyone knows that dude has a hell of a voice. But one track isn't going to make me change my opinion of his abilities. They say first impressions are the ones that last, and my first impression of T-Pain was that he uses auto-tune because he doesn't have the ability to sing on par with guys like Tyrese. You are more than welcome to believe that he uses auto-tune to be different though. And Kanye... man, I swear they recorded his ass singing in the shower on 808 & Heartbreak. I like his previous albums but that one is garbage. Like I said before, auto-tune is nothing new, Roger Troutman was doing that shit before any of us were alive. You know, the guy who sings the chorus in California Love... at least I hope you know. So T-Pain isn't doing anything groundbreaking. I suggest he loses the box and takes some singing lessons. But again, that's MY opinion.

Same concept. He used an instrument/device to adjust the tone of his voice. I think the talkbox sounds much better than auto-tune though. Quit being so damn nit picky Haz lol.
