Wow...another great battle. I thought Micz & Blitz was a hard one to judge...so was this one. These battles are definately hard to judge as the rounds go on...it really brings out the best in every emcee.

Just to get it out of the way...my vote goes to Symbolikull.

But Lemme tell you...

When it comes to DA GUY...he's really come a long way since his first drops here on illestlyrics. I know he came in cocky and a bit annoying with his capital letters and shit...but I gotta tell ya that the lil nigga is starting to kinda grow on me. His elevation and improvement in the text battle area is wayyyyyyy visable. You'd have to be a paralyzed blind person to NOT see the growth here. The kids skills are definately growing and he's proving that he's definately gonna be a force to be rekoned with in the text-battle area. So big ups to him. But back to the subject...when it came to the battle...Symbolikull just really layed it out a lil bit better than GUY did. Don't get it twisted...both of them stuck really good to the topic if you ask me...and it was good how DA GUY fit Sym's name in there for word play...but Sym came with harder multies that really pieced together the whole topic and verse well. I almost didn't vote on this battle because to be honest...it was too close to judge in my book. I kinda wanted to give it a tie at first...but then i ready each verse again carefully and broke everything down and Sym had the better story line altogether.

To tell you how close I thought it was...
I gave DA GUY a 9 outta 10...
and Sym a 9 & 1/2 outta 10

...it was an excellent battle. But The ol' ghost stole this one by a hair I think. Congrats to both of you and good luck to you both in the rest of ur votes if there are any after this one.

i'll post up the final round tomorrow, i'll decide a topic that both contestants must write about, no picking and choosing

and for the final round i want intelligent votes, the main aspects are being on topic, and creativity(how you approach writing on the topic)

the contestants will have 'till friday to post an 8 bar verse (16 lines aka a normal length verse in hip hop)

no posting will be allowed by other members until both verses are dropped, all i wanna see is 2 verses and votes unless you're letting your opponent know you aren't going to show

the winner will receive a free custom beat from me 200 rep points, an award in there profile, an article about them on the front page, a 2 week sticky of any thread they made of their choosing, PLUS a first round bye in the next tourney they participate in, the runner-up will get the option to choose who they want to face in the first round of the next tourney they participate in

since its the final round their'll be no KO, the person thats first to get 5 votes is the winner, in addition to listing categorys you must also write a short breakdown of why you think the person you voted for won

the only way a deadline will be extended is if both contestants don't post on time, no showing shouldn't be an issue 5 days is plenty of time to write one verse, and if you know you aren't going to be able to be able to post it on friday have someone that will be around friday to post it for you
