House Party

Well as you all pretty much know, I've been working on another street album, "INSOMNIA", that's due to release soon...but on the side I've also been doing other songs for my first full length LP titled, "The Honest Truth" This particular album is produced by Drunken Jesus and I (for the mostpart), with the exception of a few productions from a couple of other producers who care to get their sound out. But mainly this is the project that I'll be pushing in summer of '09, and attempting to market into the stores.

This is one of the songs from that album. It's called "House Party". Now if you've ever been to a House Party...and I mean a REALLLL ONE (not one where your parents are upstairs making you popcorn)...then you know what to expect and what the scenary is like. This song is about Me being the host of your local house party, just giving you a tour through the crib and tryin to be in the "pursuit of happiness" (we'll call it)...with a lucky lady! It's a more lively, semi-club oriented song with a latin twist of instruments and influence, along with a slight "T-Pain-like" vocal effect on the hook, just to try sumthin different and give it a more "clubbish" feel. This joint was produced by me, and it's sole purpose is to be used as a party track or a radio single. I hope you enjoy.

this is pretty good

dont like the chorus
or the t-pain effect

it doesnt seem to have that like party excitement in it
i think that is mostly because of the beat.

lyrics were good
flow was good

overall-7/10

[font=Georgia]Eh...Dis Joint Is Kindah...Hmm..How Can I Put This..The Lyrics Was Str8 Up Lyke A House Party Feel But Da Beat Didn't Match

Plus Da Hook You Disguised It Perfectly Cuz I Couldnt Tell It Had Tha T-Pain Effect

Soundclick Has Some Pretty Hot Club Beats Jus' Ta Letchu Know

But Uh..Wasn't Feelin' Dis 1 Too Much Fam

Yuh Lyrics Was On Point As Well As Yuh Flow But I Think Da Beat Is What Made This Track Kindah Uqhh..

7.5/10

Keep Doin' You Doe Fam

But I Wouldn't Put This On Yuh Album If I Was You, Jus' A Heads Up

I know...most forum kats really ain't feelin club-like, lively songs. Everytime I drop that kinda shit here they land up not liking it! haha
They like real underground shit.
Like whenever I drop that real realative-type shit, they dig it.
But whenever I switch it up it's like NOOOOOOOOOOO...lol

I don't care. I like doin different shit and not keepin it the same.

I sent this shit to DJ TimBuck2 at WGCI this weekend, hopefully they'll have it bumpin on GO-ILL radio at the 9PM hour sometime in the next few weeks. But I'll get word of it if it does.

beats a lil too fast you don't sound as comfortable as usual, and imo the beat doesn't really work as a club jumpoff

verses are aight, you seem to rush a few parts that throws off the rhythm mainly because like i said the beats too fast, hooks solid i can't even hear the autotune though, i think it'd sound alot better with a phaser on it panning it from side to side, verses could've used some adlibs
