Its all personal opinion, which in this case probably weighs heavily on how you were raised. Personally, I don't believe in heaven, hell, god, satan, fate, any of it. Shit, "love" to me is nothing more than a chemical reaction in the brain caused by stimulation. Religion is a joke in my eyes, but I will never push my views on someone or "convert" them. I'd believe aliens have visited planet Earth before I'd ever believe there is a higher being that created everything. Religion is one of the deadliest things ever known to exist. Its a sad day when someone looks forward to blowing themselves up to supposedly please someone who we have no physical proof of existing.
Anyways, to answer your question... I believe that nothing happens. Your heart stops beating, therefore cutting off oxygen to the brain aka dying. Then, depending on your family, you either get placed in an extremely expensive box where you rot or you're burned and placed in a fancy jar on someone's mantle. That's it. No bright light, no pearly gates, no eternal flames and torture. You die like any other living organism on this planet. Your corpse decomposes, giving other forms of life essential elements to survive. So enjoy life while you can. Its short, and there ain't shit afterwards. It just so happens that humans are cursed with having a brain that has evolved so much that we can even conceive of ideas such as afterlife and religion. Even religion has evolved from polytheism to monotheism. Who's to say that religion isn't completely phased out in the future. Religion to me is nothing more than a theory, a relatively comical one at that. I'm not saying what I believe is right because there is no proof that there is or isn't a god. But I will never think less of a person who believes in god no matter how much shit I talk about religion. But I am thoroughly annoyed by "bible thumpers", religious extremists i.e. terrorist/jihadists, etc.

Damn. Your rant was slightly uncomfortable, but I agree 100%.
As for the idea of not knowing it happened. That is slightly true. Many people spend a long time dying an excruciating death, as a majority on this forum will, that might suck. Its not like everybody just gets to go to sleep and not wake up. A good amount of us will get to spend our last months/weeks/years in a bed dealing with agonizing pain, shortness of breath, brain damage to some extent, and tremendous horrific nightmares. I would be more worried about dying slowly than the act of dying. That is obviously painless -- the idea might seem more pleasant when you're immobile --you might anticipate it, during those last struggling days as you prepare for your big send off. The fear of death is innate, it does kind of suck that we are the only species that has it. We're the only species that has a lot of bullshit though, some of it ill, some of it it good. If you want to get rid of it -- your options are pretty limited -- take a whole shit load of acid. You will see things a lot more divine than God.
How does someone know if there is a hell or heaven? That is a ridiculous question in itself, only if somebody talked to Jesus could they verify the bible is true. If they haven't talked to Jesus, they are as limited as any of us to knowing and if you don't know, then I don't know. And if neither of us know, that means the person who came up with the idea of heaven or hell, didn't know either because there was less information available to them. In conclusion, that means, nobody knows anything, if we knew something, we wouldn't need to put all our faith into scriptures, we'd have a greater knowledge in our consciousness, that obviously doesn't exist, instead what exists, is fear of death, we don't think, oh golly, I can't wait to see what is next, I wonder what God is like, nah, it takes indoctrination for them beliefs to be implanted in our brains. That is how you know something is wrong with this whole experience.
By the way, just because there is a God, great, now, are you going to be selfish enough to believe that he has you in mind? He actually cares about you, along with the 100's of billions of other deceased bodies that are placed into the ground. He thinks that your spirit is special, are you sure? He thinks that you're of great importance to the larger scheme of things, the same person who locked their car keys inside their vehicle on at least three separate incidents. Its more than likely that other beings exist in this universe. Do you think they have such primitive beliefs? When will mankind decide that, God may exist, all evidence that we see when we look out the window, points to a higher power, that doesn't mean that he cares about you. Its a nice thought, isn't it? A man up in the sky, has a specific plan for you, he knows what you're going to do for eternity. And if you live for eternity, then why are you not God, because God lives for eternity, does that mean when you get to heaven, that he can still kill you, I thought death was a biological issue. I've never heard of death in the cosmos, yet alone heaven, if you're eternal, why does God get to have control and why couldn't you of created yourself? What powers does God hold that you do not in Heaven? Does he get to create planets when he thinks while we just get to think about him? You ever look at God abstractly like that, I have, its interesting to think about.
It seems to me at least, that its slightly illogical that we even think about ourselves when it comes to heaven, when we're technically suppose to only anticipate God, and bow down to him.

We were created by evolution.
Isn't the annunaki from the bible?

One could argue that we weren't exactly "created" at all by anything. The Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy loosely states that matter cannot be created nor destroyed theoretically. But mass and energy can be converted into one another, so there are some grey areas. I'm not an expert by any means and this was just one of the few things that stuck in my head in physics lol. Who's gangsta? I'm gangsta! Lol.
But going off of what Plex said and vaguely quoting Bill Hicks... religion is starting to become irrelevant. We need to keep evolving past these ancient ways of thinking.
