8 bit cover of The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby & a cover of Bruce Springsteen - Fire

These are pretty cool. That's actually really wierd cause I'm working on some 8-bit metallica covers at the moment.

and i don't think metallica would sound very good covered in 8 bit they have a traditional rock band set-up for most songs which won't sound all that interesting on other instruments because of the composition only being able to be articulated correctly on a guitar so it sounds alot duller on keys where playing is much more static, you could amp some 8 bit sounds but it wouldn't really be 8 bit then cause of the processing, i dunno though post them on here when you finish them and i'll check them out, if you want 8 bit sounds that actually sound somewhat similar to their intended instrument look into samples (or synth emulations) of the fm chip in the sega master system its what i used for the beatles jawn sounds pretty cool has a unique flavor

I dropped the tuning down a little. I used a Gameboy chiptune generator.

sounds pretty good mixing is a bit off some shit is way too loud their may be a difference in the og track as well but the difference sounds way too rough 8 bit, i'm not a big fan of using strictly the nes or gameboy synths all the instruments end up sounding too much alike, listen to the beatles cover i posted the master system chip sounds alot cooler imo the bass is from a c64 synth but the rest is all master systems fm chip

If I could I would totally have the Elenor Rigby cover as my cell phone's ringtone...

lol its not too hard to pull off if you've got a usb cord not sure how you'd go about doing it otherwise, dunno of any offtop but theres sites where you can send ringtones to your phone number but dunno if that would work in china

you can go to myxer.com make an account upload the file n u can use whatever part u want from the mp3... n it sends it to ur phone as a pic message

I would if I could, but my cell phone is the cheapest of the cheap and doesn't even have the option of uploading any kind of ringtones. But the spirit of my post still stands, this would be a great ringtone...
