This piece wasnt super complex or dope with the flow but it had heart and emotion which i respect

Burger King, Dairy Queen, even WENDY'S for kids//
Colorado children living in poverty has risen 50 percent//
Hickenlooper's getting stupid, stripping futures w/out ANY regrets//
I can't let em' do that, I love this fucking CITY to death//
The first bar of this part doesn't flow well or rhyme well but the second bar is tight. I especially like the inner rhyming on the third line.
This pen is filled w/ my blood, I write from the heart//
Sick of kids riding their bikes, finding crack pipes in the park//
Tired of kids burning candles at both ends just to light up the dark//
It's funny how most kids now days are born only 9 months apart//
I like the meta's here a lot. First three lines are excellent. I think the last line would've made more sense if you said "siblings these days" instead of "most kids now days." Obviously, various kids are born nine months apart.
Keep pushing the gas, n' never go the wrong way//
Cuz if these dreams were horses, shit, then I'd be John Wayne//
Favorite line in the whole piece there. Good shit.
Stop arguing, start loving, stop all this brain washing//
put n' X on Race & Religion like signs at a train crossing//
Excellent way to end this piece. Much truth there. A powerful message in this piece summed up nicely.
