Here's a list of my predicted winners of the first round. Not to be confused with swaying anyone's decision when it comes time to vote on these matches...


Da Prince vs. Rugged - Rugged

Orfadox vs. Illaborate - Orfadox

Kau The Lion vs. Jack Da Rippa - Kau the Lion

Murk McNasty vs. QwarterZ - Murk The Don

Flipside vs. aLb - Flipside

Colossus vs. I.C. - Cadence[/b]


I know it might seem like Im picking my crew as my predictions, but DO NOT mistake it for dickriding by any means. Every one of these guys are talented in the topical department, and Im expecting them to bring their A+ games with them...

Anyone else want to make some predictions??? Or you scurred???

I Think U N QZ Might Have The Best Bout

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, there are definitely some good writers on that list, some of em though I've never actually seen a topical from, so it'll be interesting to see if regular battle talent translates over to the topical realm. Colossus and JDR both got flow and can write well and got some killer battle verses, but don't really know what to expect on the topical front from them.

Just about anyone on that list has the potential to win this (haven't read anything from aLb though). Depending on how much effort each person brings this could go all sorts of directions. I'd say Rugged would be the one to beat though, if someone can knock him out they got a good chance to take it all the way. All five Collectively Ill cats are particularly skillful in the topical area too, so they'd be others that'll be a tough hurdle for anyone wanting to win this thing.

Hey yo Rugg, point of clarification, in the rules you posted 12-16 bars, but I swear elsewhere you said 12-16 lines (which would be 6-8 bars). Which is it? Hope your reply comes quick, I'm just about done with 6-8 bars, but if its 12-16 bars I'm gonna have to basically rewrite the whole thing as quick as possible.



PS--- Rugg replied to a PM I wrote, its 12-16 bars (24-32 lines), in case anyone else is wondering...
