something i wrote over 2 years ago that i found, figured i'd put it up on here

The Hour-Glass

here's a story of a soul from a tainted man,
he was lost upon his way given faith a chance
vision clouded by the storm n the rain began,
fallin tears seem to pour n colors greys (graze) the land,
bloody prints across the moment that was stained by hands,
see tomorrow never comes till today is planned,
followed by the patience for occasions can..
make u realize that life is just a grain of sand...

This is one of those poems that make me go, Hmmm... partially because my dumb-ass had to read it like 3 times just to get 1 part of it... but that makes it worth a re-read just because it inspires thought... nice drop, old or not.

Life is just a grain of sand, isn't it? The passage of time and the realizations it brings is what I got from this.

that life takes us where it wants to sometimes regardless of how much we try to control our own lives, and even so we're as important as a single grain of sand, upon the ridiculous amounts of other grains, the wind carries that sand and we're nothing more than a tiny little spec in this big world, its a lack of acknowledgement for the importance of life i guess one could say, but then again its all metaphorical and is meant to be taken however it is you feel it, if you can relate in any way then the purpose was clear enough
