Nas highly anticipated new album leaked today. In hip-hop is dead Nas declares hip-hop is dead. The first single hip-hop is dead is already critically acclaimed as a great song. Nas claims he is tired of all the snitching that is going on. He wants to bring hip-hop back to what it was. Nas collaborates with Jay Z on Hip-Hop is Dead. The song leaked almost a month ago called Black Republicans. Nas and Jay Z trade verses in another highly acclaimed song. His one time battle opponent Jay Z recently came out of retirement to drop a cd after a few years. Which has been a critics field day. Claiming that the album was half-assed. The question is will Nas live up to the hype? He has been known to do it before. Not many people have been able to come out of the shadow of a classic cd. Think Eminem - Marshall Mathers Lp. When Nas dropped Stillmatic he basically silenced the critics on that theory. Though illmatic is still arguably his best effort to date. Nas last album also got mixed reactions "street disciples" a double disc was said by critics to have to many fillers. Illest lyrics highly recommends you purchase Hip-Hop is Dead.

His one track that is on youtube is pretty tight, hate that he used the same beat he did for Theifs Theme, but I still love that beat. Especially with the begining like there is in the actual song.

"I heard the album,, was the first one in a long time with a theme and he kept on it. Which makes you more then satisfied after listening to the whole album. Nas didn't even rap about politics or anything. Which is probably why he has the other album all lined up for next year. He put this album out to make a point to everyone in the industry. To say the least he did just that.
