okay since i've been back awhile

i was up in NY for a business trip, i went with my lawyer(my girls brother) to meet with an A&R with a fairly big independent label(i won't mention names so i won't get blackballed or any bullshit like that), he got in contact with me after a friend of both mine & his gave him a cd of my beats, and we talked on the phone a few times and he offered me a deal so i drove up with my lawyer to go over it
he's got 8 projects hes releasing this year and his label got the contract to do the background music for a hip hop documentary thats being released and he needed some more in house producers, the deal he offered me was strictly exclusive meaning once i signed the contract everything i made was property of the label which would've been fine but he only wanted to pay me a flat rate for whatever beats of mine were chosen to go on projects no royalties or other compensation so i would've been competing with other in house producers and outside producers to get placements on projects and wouldn't be able to sell my beats elsewhere even if they weren't used, we tryed to come to a compromise but he wasn't looking give me the compensation i was looking for so i didn't take the deal but he said he'd contact me in the future and we might be able to do business
after that me and my lawyer decided to stay in the city for a little while cause i expected it to take longer than it did and my lawyer didn't have any client meetings scheduled for the rest of the week so we went sight seeing, hit up a club, got drunk alot, & ordered lots of room service
