New York, NY, March 26, 2007 – If the Jackson 5 and Ludacris released an album together, the combined classic sound of Motown
and the tongue-twisting flow of the southern rapper would sound a lot like Re-Release Therapy, the new mash-up album from acclaimed Brooklyn-based producer J.J. Brown.

When Brown was a child, he dreamt of being the next Michael Jackson in the same way kids today wish to be the next Ludacris. Ultimately, the producer most notable for his work with indie hip hop favorite louis logic chose to re-work Luda's latest because the "soulful rapper" has the lyrical chops to hold his own next to the Jackson 5's musical legacy.

Unlike many discordant mash-ups that conceptually sound like a good idea, Brown's effort doesn't just throw the two artists' sounds together. Better described as a harmonious match-up, Re-Release Therapy plays like an actual collaboration. "Re-Release Therapy can be viewed as a full-scale production album where I virtually put Ludacris right into the studio with the Jackson 5," Brown said. "It's as if they were my orchestra and I got to play the conductor."

Working out of his home studio, Brown paired each of the a cappellas from Release Therapy with songs from the Jackson 5's archive, laboring day and night to create a cohesive production with the goal of reminding listeners of the Jackson 5's greatness, and prove how truly universal Ludacris' flows are. On the night Ludacris took home a Grammy for Rap Album of the Year, Brown recalls, “I was working on the remix for Slap and thinking that the award must be nice...but when he hears what I did to the album, it's gonna blow his mind!â€
