A representative for Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles has told MTV news that The Game is indeed a free man.
This comes after reports surfaced earlier in the week that The Game had been released just eight days into his 60-day sentence. Following the reports, Game's manager Jimmy Rosemond denied the story and said his client had simply been transfered to a new facility.
"Reports stating that the Game has been released from prison are false," Rosemond said. "Although he was transferred from the Twin Towers, he is not expected to be released until early April in time to promote his upcoming album L.A.X. Times. The Game and his family would like to thank his fans for their continued support."
However The Game's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, has now confirmed that her client has in fact been released due to overcrowding.
"[Game] is now on probation and will eagerly begin his court-ordered community service," Holley added.
On Tuesday, a rep from Twin Towers confirmed to MTV that The Game had been releases, not transfered on the morning of March 9.
