Hypocrisy pt 1 ::: Battle of the Gods

Today Reverand Jeremiah Wright stepped down from Barack Obama's campaign committee once videos hit the movie showing the Reverand preaching harsh criticisms on US policys and many pro-black sentiments.
Ok, the videos were obviously offensive so it makes sense for Wright break his ties to obama...
But... Reverand John Hagee a supporter of John McCain(Yes the same John McCain whos campaign has attacked Obama on his ties with Reverand Wright) Is a radical christian who has made numerous offensive comments against catholics and others and is a self proclaimed expert on the apocalypse (Note: not the apocalypse as described in the bible but the apocalypse as described in the theory that he pulled out of his ass)
And... The batshit crazy religious precursor to scientology known as mormonism up until the mid 70's was a racist organization. Several years after civil rights laws passed the mormon faith still believed black people were second rate citizens and could only get into mormon martian heaven as servants to whites. Of course they finally changed their racist agenda and accepted that blacks were equal but this was after basically every group or organization besides the KKK with racist beliefs changed their minds. Former presidential canidate Mitt Romney is a proud mormon... somehow with-in the midst of all the talks of Romney being discriminated against the fact that he himself indirectly was guilty of discrimination against blacks by not denouncing his allegiance to mormonisms formally racist agenda got lost. He was asked once or twice about the subject but the media didn't cover the story in fear that it would fuel anti-mormon sentiment and discrimination cause as we all know the mormons have had it real hard the 200 + years of slavery and discrimination against blacks is nothing compared to the struggles of mormons. They've been looked at as weirdos because of their batshit crazy beliefs, clearly a crime against humanity much worse than lynching, slavery, & discrimination.
I'm in no way trying to defend Rev. Wright or bash Rev. Hagee & mormons, I'm simply pointing out the intense scrutiny Obama encounters because of his race & name. Granted, Obama has set the bar high for himself ethically which can account for some of the overreaction but its still an obvious double standard. It's well known that I'm not a fan of organized religion at all but I'm more pro-religoius than alot of hypocritical followers. I don't think religion has a place in politics, I don't think politics has a place in religion. Religion corrupts politics, Politics corrupts religion it goes both ways. Injecting religion in politics is one of the worst crimes against the ideals of America to ever occur its divisive immoral and just plain ignorant. The founders would be rolling over in their graves if they saw some of the shit that goes on today. I can't even place the blame on just Republicans even though they're the ones that got the ball rolling, many Democrats are just as guilty and just as responsible for this mess, along with republicans they engage in pro-religion divisive politics but theirs also those in the party that use an anti-religion agenda of divisive politics.
Any true follower of religion should be outraged at this spectacle because they're the victims in this. Politicians are getting elected because of religion and once in office they forget about their ethics and morals that they supposedly believe in. I don't think religion should even be discussed in the media or politics, at least publically. It may seem as though that stance is against religion but its against corruption of religion it's clearly a pro-religion stance. I don't think public announcement of religion should occur which may see to contradict my previous statement but its not to say you still cannot vote with your religion and a canidates religion in mind. You shouldn't even care if a canidate publically announces his religion. You should not have to hear "I'm a christian, I'm a jew, I'm a musilim" to cast your vote look at what they've done not what they've said because it's well known politicians lie... Why wouldn't they lie about their religion? Don't vote based on religion vote based on religious ideals vote on your religious morals, do not believe a politician who says he's of the same faith, look at his record, look at his life, look at his principles, and you'll see if you're really on the same page.
