Is America too Ready for a Black President

I'm so sick of the question is America ready for a black president.
It's quite obvious with the record amount of votes/turn out that Barack has been getting (mind you Hilary has too) that we are.
But are we so ready for a black president, that Barack has that going for him?

honestly i dont think ive ever seen a real black person with black skin.
maybe im color blind but "black people" seem to be various shades of brown. why do we call them black people?

I don't know man, I'm pretty much color blind as well.
As everyone knows because I'm never aware of anybodies race.
I thought, 8th was black forever.

Indians are referred to as brown people, therefore african americans are referred to as black
and really some black people are....black
Barack obama is half white...so he's barely passable as brown
but thats just skin color. In my opinion it shouldn't matter. I think it's good to have a president that's mixed to represent America for its' diversity.

black people are not referred to as black because Indians are reffered to as Brown. I know there are people who are really dark or even black but the majority of people who say they are black are actually brown. i dont give a fuck which colour anyone is but why not just call them brown. Australians are white and i am white and British. Why not just call Australians Purple people then if your theory makes any sense.
now for my next question- why do americans spell colour as color.
