A civil case against the artist Remy Ma, for 20 million dollars has been withdrawn.
Makeda Barnes-Joseph has decided not to go forward his 20 million dollar lawsuit against Remy Ma, according to recent reports on the incident.
The case started when Makeda claims Remy shot her multiple times in the stomach over a physical dispute over $3,000. She filed a suit immediately in December.
Remy’s attorney claims the shooting was an “accident” even after a friends testimony that witnessed the shooting. If Remy was to be convicted she faced a total of 25 years in prison.
There is still a trial to be had, and Barnes-Joseph may refile the case depending on the outcome of the trial at hand.
