According to the New York Post, Wyclef Jean’s charity has some explaining to do.

Yele Haiti, created to benefit the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake that rocked the small island of Haiti, generated $16 million dollars in 2010. Based on the 2010 charity tax information, $5.1 million of that money was sent to Haiti for emergency relief. The post reports that $1 million dollars was paid to a non-existent Florida firm and $353,983 was given to P&A Construction, which is owned by Jean’s brother-in-law.

This isn’t the first time that Wyclef has defended his charities. In 2008, a tax form was never filed and in 2009, $250,000 was lost.
