Talib Kweli is preparing his latest album, “Ear Drum,” to be released on his indie label, Blacksmith Music, and distributed by Warner Bros. Records. The Brooklyn-bred artist explained the LP’s title in a recent press statement.“They’re two very simple, yet powerful words,” Kweli said. “I wanted to focus on finding a sound that makes you move, and that’s where the word ‘Ear Drum’ popped in my head.” The album hits stores on Oct. 10, and features production and collaborations with Kanye West, Rick Rubin, UGK, Norah Jones, and former Reflection Eternal producer Hi-Tek.
