Aphilliates Music Group frontman and Grand Hustle artist DJ Drama must bring his A-game for a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape with Outkast; that's if Andre 3000 ever gets around to recording raps."God willing, hopefully we'll get something out of him," said the Philadelphia native. According to Drama the eccentric emcee/crooner/musician is amped about creating a new "street album," but "getting him to get to the rhymes is a hard thing." The Gansta Grillz project, normally a precursor to an LP, may come on the heals of the Grammy award winning duo's seventh LP, 'Idlewild,' to be released August 22. Meanwhile, Drama prepares another volume of his famed series featuring Young Buck of G-Unit. The official Gansta Grillz album is also in the works as Drama and his Aphilliates (DJ Don Canon and DJ Sense) get compfy at their new home, Asylum Records. "Since it's the first album, I want to accumulate everything I've done the first five years of the series [but] it's not going to be a compilation," said Drama. He compares his vision to "what Dr. Dre did with the Chronic;" gigantic shoes to fill, but the celebrated DJ has always shot for the moon. Canon will apparently handle much of the production and fans can look for Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, T.I., and Young Buck, among others, to hold down the rhymes. First things first, however, long time Aphilliates aphilliate Willie the Kid's mixtape, 'Divide and Conquer,' will be the first release by Aphilliates Music Group.
