Jadakiss Tuesday pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property before a Westchester County judge. “I should have been home sleeping, getting ready to do the 'VH1 Hip-Hop Honors' with Styles P. Instead, I was in the 'hood, being a knucklehead,” the raspy emcee told New York’s Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez after his release from jail. Kiss, AKA Jason Phillips, and three other men were Saturday morning arrested for possession of marijuana and a stolen .38 caliber revolver. According to Kiss, when the police arrived he found himself outside of a locked vehicle. “You figure it out,” he added. Though a misdemeanor marijuana-possession offense is pending, Kiss bopped out of jail after posting $5,000 bond. He is due back for a hearing October 20.Kiss this summer co-released, with fellow Lox members Styles P and Sheek Louch, ‘2 Guns Up,’ a mixtape/DVD compilation, through D-Block Records/Koch Records. Styles’ sophomore LP ‘Time is Money,’ slated for a November release, is the next solo album from the D-Block camp. The Lox plans to release its’ third crew album in 2007. Kiss’ third LP, tentatively titled ‘Kiss My Ass,’ reportedly also drops next year.
