DJ Carl Blaze, of New York's Power 105.1 station, died on Saturday from thirteen gunshot wounds he sustained during a robbery earlier this month.

Carl Blaze, born Carlos Rivera, passed away at Harlem Hospital Center where he was taken following a Dec. 7 shooting.

A NYPD spokesman said an investigation of the shooting which took place in Upper Manhattan, was continuing and there have been no arrests yet.

A police statement at the time of the shooting said a diamond chain that Blaze had been wearing was missing when police arrived at the scene.

The 30-year-old DJ spun records during Power 105's late-night shifts every Friday and Saturday.
