yo, merry fuckin xmas illest. i know im new to this site and writing in general but i want to take the time to thank all that make illestlyrics run properly. the level of quality musicians and artist on this site by far outshines any other site ive found. from the lounge to the creation chamber ive found hours of enjoyable conversations, poems, and tracks and even artists willing to collab with a newby like myself. so thank you illest for bringing a way for up and coming artists to show there work to others. from the mods to members and even snoopy bots that probly only google our site to steal our rhymes like plagaristic underwear gnomes, your all appreciated. Happy Hollidays fuckers!

We must allow ourselves to be critical of the music and culture so that ideas and beliefs that aren’t progressive can be eliminated and made unattractive to our youth. Our allegiance to Hip Hop has to be about more than romanticized ideas of misogyny, materialism, murder and mayhem. Instead our allegiances must be rooted in what we individually and collectively determine beneficial. The story of misogyny, materialism, murder and mayhem doesn’t end well. We’ve got proof. Doing what one believes is individually and collectively beneficial may allow for a better ending. Or better yet, no ending at all.
