Does everyone remember the track Busta Rhymes did not too long ago called, "New York Shit"? Well if you guys don't mind getting down on that track...I have a 9 and a half minute sample of that instrumental that we can all get down on. Not only that...but I'll even be willing to mix peoples vocals and clean the track up when its all said and done. If you're interested and cool with that instrumental...lemme know and I will post the instrumental in this thread for download.

go ahead with that, i'll drop 8 bars or so on it, i think everybody doing a 16 on it's a lil overkill especially when most peoples idea of 16 bars is 32 lines lmao

if ya'll don't wanna use that beat, i can extend any instrumental to any length, looping and adding verses ain't that hard unless the instrumental has alotta bridges

well i think that 8 bars will suffice enough because 16 bars, nobodies gonna be listenin to that shit n emcees need to switch off between 4 bars every now and then on the track... that will get more interest in it. n when this is all said n done i WILL play this on Illest Radio no doubt about that man. but what do u all think of that?

Alright...here is the instrumental. Now I don't know if any of you know how to keep your vocals on a seperate track when you record...but if you do...that would be great. (in other words...when you record...you have a soundfile of your acapella only) Because if you do...and worst comes for worse that you have poor sound quality or whatever...you can send me your vocals only without the instrumental...and I'll clean 'em up as best as I can, mix and master the levels and then put 'wm on the song for you. Just to let some of you know.

So kiddies...with a project of this magnitude...make sure you bring your A-game. Write the hottest shit you ever wrote. Shouldn't be hard...it's only 8 bars...so come wit it! Remember...cuz whatever you spit on this track not only represents yourself as an illestlyrics soulja...but as an individual artist. Your name and reputation rides your lyrics and presentation. So make sure your emotions are displayed and you put it down like you've never done so before. You're gonna be your harshest critic...so if you think your 8 bars sound like caca...then it probably does. So do it again. And keep doin it again and again until you can sit back and say to yourself, "Damn I'm sexy!" When you get to that point...then you know you did go...and even more so, you know you're done. But have fun wit it...don't let what I say scurr you...I just want all of you to be the best you can be and show that elevation is the norm around here on illestlyrics.
