One Audio Tourney and one Text Tourney..

i'd win the beat tourney, subsist would win the graphics tourney, kurse would win the song tourney, no point in having them when the skill levels in 1,2, & 5 are so differing

I mean at some point...a tourney has already been done. Which means at some point...someone was crowned the winner. So why not just say that those previous winners are the reigning champs...and whatever the next tourney be...the winner of that tourny gets a shot at the regning champs title of Illests Audio Champ, Illests Beat-Production Champ, Illest Written/Text Champ, etc, etc. Jesus is right...people kind of already have an idea of who is the top of what food-chains they are...but that leaves the Reigning champ to sit out while the people who want a shot at that title battle their way through a tourney and earn the right to be the top contender. I know it's sounds slightly complicated...but it's a good way of bringing structure to the whole thing and not only that...might increase site traffic because hell...there's alot of people out there that have big heads and think they can beat someone else. So why not let them earn the chance to take on the best of the best. I know that when I went and checked out RR's audio artists...that I felt I could beat the life out of anything their doin! I'm sure if someone from over there came here...they might say the same. Well...structure the tourney and see who you think the king of each hill is and let the rest battle it out and step up to the challenge.

yeah i already had that idea about belts, the winners of the tag tourney will be the tag champions, but i need to develop a system where a team(individual) can move up the ranks to number one contenders without having to go through a tourney, a system where it isn't easy but it isn't too difficult, even though it doesn't mean shit having a belt as the best will boast peoples egos and encourage them to be more active on the site

what i was thinking of was developing a system, in 3 areas, audio, text, & producing, each active member of IL can apply for a ranking those who don't wish to be ranked won't be, but they can't have a shot at the belts before they're ranked and move up through the rankings to the #1 contender spot, UNLESS they win a tourney in each belts respected division

the way i'd set up the rankings is by taking the average of 4 judgements,

feedback (i know this is subjective but fuck it) numbers of replys aren't as important as what people are saying, if its alot of negative or heavily constructive feed back you'll have a low score here

battle record, judging by the caliber of your opponents and your record

random poll, 5 members of the site will be polled randomly and whatever they reply with ads into the score, (this will be averaged and multiplyed by 5) so one dickrider or haters score won't help you that much even 2 or 3 won't

admin discussion, a panel of admins will discuss you're talent and skill and judge what you should be scored

each of those categories will be out of 25 points and they'll all be added up, once you get a rank every month or two weeks depending on activity it will change, if you receive the award for most posts you'll receive 2% points increase, and feedback and win/loses will be taken into account to whether you deserve to go up or down in the ranks, a period of long inactivity will hurt your rank not by much at first but if it continues it will, (you don't have to battle or post shit constantly but if you post nothing or next to nothing don't be suprised to be downgraded)
