yeah it works cause of the frequency, you could do the same thing fucking with a radio or cell phone

and domino what you're talking about is binaural tones, they don't really get you "high" it just can fuck with your brain and make it relax, i use them when making beats sometimes

most senses can trigger some sort of odd reaction in your brain if done properly, some sounds can relax you, some images can make you have a seizure, some scents can make you high or make you pass out(this of course is more chemical than sensory though), most odd brain reactions aren't really explainable yet but in the future i can imagine some things that are cured by medicine now will eventually be able to be cured just by stimulating one of your senses (of course only if the government can somehow figure out a way to make the cures high priced and not easily accesible or reproducable)
