(10:37:20) all killah: I think its one of his more consistant albums. When you listen to it thoroughly it seems he was trying to prove something when he made it cause of all the hate kingdom come got. So he came with some 90's sounding shit proving he can still kill tracks like he did in the 90's.

(10:40:31) all killah: What jay did was basically what eminem trying to do & failed at with encore, he tryed to go back to the stupid corny shit like he was on when he first came out. But it didn't sound the same as sslp cause it was even cornyer than his earlier work.

(10:40:53) metaphoric flow: I get that impression as well. Does that mean it's out of place in hip hop? And is that ok? because blue print didn't seem to fit into hip hop either.

(10:45:13) all killah: It depends strictly on the listener. Nowadays any single without a dance to go along with it or a r&b singer sounds out of place. It's probably not going to go over well on the radio but hip hop fans are going to like it.

(10:52:25) all killah: No Hook is a real standout track & real original cause hardly any mainstream rappers are putting out tracks with no choruses its mainly just an underground thing. Its not just the originality that makes it ill he stepped up his rhyme scheme on it too, its 3 minutes of classic jay.

(11:05:17) all killah: I can fuck with it, its slightly more offbeat than his freestyles usually are but he still has some ill bars in it. 8th gets slept on badly on IL probably cause he ain't on skype gossiping like school girls like most of the site. He's got one up on alotta IL cause hes got a good presence & swagger so even if he does fall off from time to time it isn't that big of a deal. Alotta kids be sounding awkward when they trying to rap imo if you got no swagger, no mic presence, you got no reason to rap cause its always gonna sound awkward.

(11:14:59) all killah: I think it is. I can't really fuck with it, I mean its well put together and what not but it comes off like hes trying to hard to be on some goofy shit. Eminem fans will like it cause its on some eminem type shit, it fits in with the "your parents are gonna hate this" mixtape hes doing cause it sounds like something kids would listen to. If he keeps trying to go down that road hes going to turn off alotta potential fans because it sounds gimmicy.

(11:29:45) all killah: Generally not critical enough. But in the same vein the ones that are the most critical are
typically the ones that can't take criticism.

(11:35:49) all killah: Whether I'm perfect is debatable, but I do get criticism just not much from the site. Like not even on some cocky shit but I'm levels beyond alotta people so they can't really think of any criticism because I'm so far ahead of them my flaws are hard to see its like trying to picture a little league player trying to tell barry bonds how to swing a bat.

(11:43:23) all killah: I think participation is the main thing IL lacks though almost every netcee thinks about writing/recording as a hobby most netcees are dedicated to getting better & are typically more serious with it. Imo illest is steadily drifting away from its purpose, it was a rap board but now its more of a conversation board than a rap board people are just using it to make online friends I guess.

(11:50:35) all killah: Nothing wrong with being friendly with people, but the emotional attachment you build is going to sway your opinion on them so you don't really say what you think about something they've done, & if you do you sugarcoat it.

(11:56:03) all killah: I dunno, there isn't really anybody else thats improved alot. Micz & Kurse have been developing pretty good at what they do finding their niche.

(11:58:53) all killah: I've been developing too, its just a natural artist thing, if you know your weaknesses you're going to try to improve on them so you never really stop working to get better.

complained? It all goes back to what I said before about emotional attachments some of the sheep tend to vote on personalitys rather than verses. I dunno I could be wrong but I've seen kurse and domino get some shady votes before. Not knocking them they had nothing to do with it but they definately have some die hard scrotum soldiers.

Before kurse dissed rell he was one of the most liked on the site niggas was on his dick heavily cause of his undefeated streak, then all of the sudden they flip flop hating on him some of these sheep are funny style.

(12:49:30) all killah: Its been progressing nicely, I use to rely heavy on samples now nearly all my shits composed so its a whole different level cause the whole composition is original and I'm getting nice enough on the keys that my composed jawns sound like they samples. In addition to that my beats are alot more consistant compared to my old shit, its less hit and miss. Lately I been going left field with it and trying some other genres making just hip hop beats gets boring to me.

But anyway i liked this interview very much. DJ gave indepth answers and answered the questions throughly. I like how you included the illest community as well.

I agree that illest is sorta becoming more of a social site then a rap site with mediocre feedback and drops as such (im guilty of both so i dont have the right to say so lol) and more emphasis on "The Chill" (domino...dude would be mad shit if he went back to battling).
