Battle me and you will not be disappointed for sure caz i like long battles too. 10 bars and up thats whay i aim for, i am not here to wins or for rankings i am just here to battle anyone no matter the outcome. ok kids the reason we mostly have 4-5 bars is because here on illest the voters break down and analyze the verses, and give good votes, so to be honest after being here for a year, i can tell you not many ppl will take the time to vote on a battle that has 10 bars each battler. especially if the battle isnt even important for anyone in the first place.

Some battles stay open longer depending on the magnitude of the anticipation to read. Lemme explain...

Per say is was Ekoms VS Hazard.

Everyone around here watches them take shots back-n'fourth in the shoutbox, argue back and fourth in the threads. It's been built up, and it's almost ready to errupt (so it seems). So when the time comes that they do battle...
...it's like a PayPerView Event.
Alot of people tune-in. It gets votes and closes pretty quickly.

Now say it was like...Mutual Hostility VS Dead Silence

...that one might stay open for a week depending on activity. They don't beef at all, neither of them battle frequently...as a battle it just somewhat lacks luster. So nobodies in a hurry to read and vote.

So beef, buzz & anticipation play a role...overall activity can play a role. Sometimes when a tourny is going on...it can effect how much people are paying attention to the battlegrounds. And past that...once you make a name for yourself, people love to see your battles if you're good. Like Scott James. Alot of people know he's good and wanna see him smash-a-nigga! So they'll tune in. But say someone like Tramatik is battling. No offense to Tram, but alot of people might not pay as much attention there. So there are obviously different variables that control how long a battle will stay open. But none the less...
...at some point your battles will get read, get voted on and be closed.

The Text Battle Grounds and Creation Chamber are buzzin hard recently...
