Marbury Launches Low Cost Sneaker Line

New York Knicks' Stephon Marbury steps up his fashion game while rejecting today's norm of astronomically priced basketball kicks. His new Starbury One sneakers are said to be the highest quality when it comes to performance shoes, but sell at only 15 dollars a pair – a mere fraction of what Air Jordans cost.

The sneakers – which will be worn by Marbury during the upcoming NBA season to prove their superiority – are only a part of his fresh clothing line, which also consist of jerseys, jeans, and jackets at bargain prices. Marbury teamed up with discount retailer Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, which will exclusively sell the line.

"It means a lot," Marbury explains, according to Forbes.com. Steve & Barry "have the same vision that I have, which is to change the world, change the world of sneakers and lifestyle. We've created a lifestyle for everyone for an affordable price."

"This is the highest-performance shoe that you can make for any amount. The technology is state of the art and was designed for the way that Stephon plays," adds Steve & Barry's co-founder and co-CEO Barry Prevor.
