The environment is my main concern
While the government wants to slash and burn
Anyone but the green party's efforts I spurn
What liberal minded sheep cares about a tree
Only thing they plant is the HST
So when left wing yuppies rant about clear cutting
Students are paid to replant, it's mind boggling
that native frogs hide under logs
but pine beetles creep like metropolitan fog
also known as smog, but city folk wouldn't know
Until they had been near fire and smelled the smoke
That's firsthand experience that'll make you choke
Though secondhand you won't till your lungs are broke
Our air wouldn't be safe as by the state of California
Breathing is dangerous here, I just wanna warn ya

Anytime I walk by any Japanese Knotweed
An anger wells up inside me and I can't concede
I'm kinda like a stealing slug I rip off leaves
It isn't a bug but it sure bugs me
That it grows instead of a blackberry
Or regenerates in place of an alder tree
Sure it looks like bamboo
But you's have to be a dumbo
To plant something that self seeds and has rhizomes too
It's called Japanese Knotweed, what gardener was rushin'
And planted a literal weed, what about repercussions
It's kinda like letting a bad dog run free
Even though there's the possibility
It could kill a cat, not your responsibility
Do us all a favor, don't plant invasive weeds
