There's so much to life and thats how we dephict its handprints
it grabs you, hurts you, and that there is the gift to manage
Grandmama used to sit with her grandkids, now shes sick of this planet
no, shes sick from this planet, all the scars that were slit were bandaged
hidden from view, conflict can damage, and that's a living dispute
she was sitting and planning different with rules, thats what living will do
the problems that's given to you, will lead you to further live in a coop
trapped from the outside world, while it hurts you more, digging in you
stealing all you ever loved, all you ever birthed, if your sick of the truth
you hide from it, and like missing a tooth, you know it'll never grow back
she never shows that, she believes in forever, whatever can mold that
will keep her from losing her sanity, mixed in with vanity, withering her old back
the smiles from her work, somedays you could see it just lifting her soul back
now the gift is in those tracks, those trails, that were laid down and made out
to lead a new generation to play now, let it play out, not for the same crowd
but a different one, one that will overshadow stupidity and possibly cave doubt
living in the same house, where they let grandmama sit and watch them play round
stuck in the same drought, someone stole it all and now they stake claims now
they say if you stay round, you going to have these here taxes to pay now
never sticking to the same route................
