Well Think About it This Way,

Personals is a Cool Cat When They're Making Good Use Of Em And Not Just Listing Them Out Like They Donno What a Punch is, That's Basically The Same as a 'Who Wrote The Longest Bars' Cat, it's irrelevant On it's Own, BETTER Personals as in Who Used Them Better - Not Who Had More - Would Be Good.

Wordplay Well, i For One Ain't Really Bothered About Wordplay, i Don't Use it Often And a Lot More Don't, So i Don't See How That Should Be a Permanent Cat. Usually in a Battle There Will Be a Wordplay So it's Aright To an Extent.

Nameplay is The Same, if The Rules Are That u HAVE To Vote By These Cats Then What Happens if None Of Em Use Nameplays? Doesn't Usually Happen But it Has Done, With The More inexperienced Battlers.

Punches (in a Battle) Should Be Tied With Personals, if u Can Make a Good Punch it's All Good But if it Has Nothing To Do With ur Opponent Then it's Just Another Filler Line. i Don't Mind it Being a Cat Though Because in a Battle With Two People Who Don't Know a Thing About Each Other They're Just Gnna Use Some Unpersonal Punches.

i Agree With Multis Being There, We All Know That Rapping (Battling Or Not) Relies a Lot On Rhyming And if One Guy Ain't Rhyme Well Then it Should Be Held Against Him in The Voting.

realistically it all comes down to what the lines are and how they're worded/placed in the verse, the majority of good lines in any battle contain all wordplay(nameplay is wordplay)/&punchline(usually personal using wordplay)/*personals(see previous)/&multi(s)(this ties into how well its placed in the verse)/&creativity(if the line isn't creative it isn't good)

you can have all the categorys you want but people are just going to use them to either a. justify who they think won or b. make it seem closer than it was so the loser feels better, nobodys gonna be like "damn i think (rapper a) slightly edged out (rapper b) in the creativity category so i guess he wins with one more category" they already have the winner in mind after they read the verses

the only way more categories are gonna come in handy is with people that either write generic ass verses with punchlines that could apply to anybody(there is alotta people that do this), or people that don't write too complex (so they're severly lacking alotta elements)

the way i vote is a lines are either good, generic(i don't care how ill a line is if it can apply to anybody its not a good line), or bad, and a verse is structured & worded either good, decent, or terrible, so whoever has the better verse judging all the elements is the winner

Shit...it's already hard enough to get sum of these kats on the site to vote with 3 categories...adding anymore are just gonna make it even harder for them and confuse their little brains. As much as what Rell's sayin makes sense to us...it's still because of the fact that our votes tend to be more detailed. Like Mine, Dom's, Plex's, Tramatiks, Symbolikulls, DJ's, Rh1no's, HQ's (sometimes) and that about sum's it up for the most part. But also we all get tied up with other shit which leaves it hard for us to drop our 2-cents in on every battle. So we leave some of the supposed faithful voting to alot of the newbs and shit. But there've been a few newbs that've shown to be real steady battlers. (ex: Cee4, Prophet....to name a few)

I dunno. Good idea...but it's not an idea that hasn't been tried before. We wanna encourage some of these guys to be more active on the voting end as it is...adding more shit to vote on I think just kinda discourages votes a little bit. (as much as that sucks) Too much laziness I guess.
