Words Off My Chest

Post by B-Bear »

I'm baaaaaaaaack! anyway, thought I had to drop a lil something since i first stopped by.. it's written to a beat, so i'd understand if u don't catch the flow on this one.. check out my other one as well

3:25
INTRO

3:13
U went from..
cleanin my swords away, folding my shorts
all day, to be standin on our porch and say. goodbye
dropped a tear from your eyes
U said the only thing that scares me is lies
it took me years to realize that
lies is fears in disguise, advice is advertised
trust your family, the reality aint meant to fool u
but don't let it school u like a fool do
it's bogus, keep your focus on acting right
the fact is that u were actually right
I owe u eveything, every stone, every ring
even the songs that i sing are dedicated to u
wanna make u proud of me, cheer loud for me
as my career's about to be a tribute to u
I dream bout inviting u to the grammy awards
have u sit next to me when they hand me the scores
bring u to the stage to grant the opportunity
thank u, for the way u raised me
that u praised me and supported me too
Mom and dad, i love u too!

1:54
I won't go from..
underdog skills to be stackin mills,
takin crack and pills, wreckin em record deals
skills is gon drop like The Hills is gon flop
big, like big momma's bringin the drama
take care of my mama like a bulletproof armor
tought me about karma, epitomized by my father
fougth him for a starter, when life got
harder I realized he was right, told me to
enter the game of life, claim the prize
get a name and a wife instead of shame and a knife
enjoy the good life and pay tribute to the past
make music, amuse it, sip em female juices like champagne
on damn plane like superstar
remember u know who u are and stay humble
be ready to rumble for your position
Dad, I finally learned to listen

0:50
I aint gon excuse for bein honest, honor me
put medals on my chest like sean connery, cause
I slaughter beats like shawn carter in the street
and i'ma slaughter u for disregarding my heat
it's manslaughter, get off the murdersite
don't tell me u haven't heard about me right?
it's in the streets and the clubs
the beats are makin love to my flow like my name's Ron Jeremy
I married hip hop, carried dirt on my shoulders
not murder, it's colder then a bourbon and soda (..ice-cold...)
the game aint over, cause I'm cursed like Hova
it's a witty time, people call the city mine
when they're can't do nothin but spit a shitty line
gotta eat when it's dinner time, speak with a bigger mind
and peak like a winner's grind, I guess I'm doin fine

the whole thing was dope. i got the flow ok.

as i said i enjoyed the whole thing but this was my favourite part

big, like big momma's bringin the drama
take care of my mama like a bulletproof armor
tought me about karma, epitomized by my father
fougth him for a starter, when life got
harder I realized he was right, told me to

on damn plane like superstar
remember u know who u are and stay humble
be ready to rumble for your position
Dad, I finally learned to listen

Good to see some vets back into the mix.

Whole piece was nice. Good emotion, good story. Even if it was written to be the caught flow right away because of well it was written. It was an intellectual piece also, outside of the box of what some people drop on a daily basis.

Good shit man.

I felt the first and third verse the most.

I hope you really don't dream about your parents being at the grammy awards with you.

Because I almost guarantee they don't. (lol)

I guess, some of it has a jay z like flow to it. Especially with the story telling, punchline style in the third verse.

This isn't what I'm use to seeing from you.

But it's always nice to diversify your styles.

Keep it up and I can't wait to see you dropping more.

By the way, where the hell were you? We missed you around these scriptures.

Thanks for the feed peeps.. and plex, that's just a way of expressing my gratitude.. if u wonder where i've been.. ehm, i've been doin everything else but writing music.. i've been doin some local shows, keepin my ass busy at school.. graduating from high school (or upper secondary school if that makes more sense to y'all) this spring, so it's a looot of shit that needs to be done, plus i got my parents bitchin about doin a good job when i'm so FUCKIN tired of it.. that's kept me busy for a really long time, and i needed new inspiration - develop new aspects in my writing, find my style.. goin to studio after the summer, plannin on releasing a demo/mixtape around next christmas, so that's what i've been doin really.. lol.. made sense?
