Track Stolen

Post by complexity »

Los Angeles-based rap/hip hop group, Godz Gift, has sent an immediate cease and desist order to Koch Entertainment and Doggy Style Records regarding the album "Cali Iz Active."

The Dogg Pound's sophomore album was currently slated to be available in stores next week, but the rap group "Godz Gift" says a song on the album violates their rights as artists.

The song in question is titled "Hard On A Hoe" in which the group says the exact same beat and chorus was taken from a song located on their myspace.com web page.

An official lawsuit has not yet been filed, although if no settlement has been made, they plan on taking this matter to court.

The rap duo's representative said the young men are not looking for their five minutes of fame during this matter. He stated they simply wanted justice for their hard work.

They also said it's difficult enough to get into the music business without an artists original material being stolen by others.
